This was an awesome group effort between all of us, Dylan, Kyle and I capturing this two day wedding event! It was so amazing to experience the traditional cambodian celebrations and be such an intimate part of the day, it was like having backstage passes:)!
I think the best way to describe the day is through our pictures, we have separated out each tradition and highlighted it with some of our favorite shots. We started with some of the details from through out the day and the couple’s several wardrobe changes.
Some of what you can’t see is the aroma of incense through out the You home and the amplified traditional live cambodian band, that played much of the 12 hour day! It was amazing!

First Ceremony: Engagement “Sot Mount”

Street Processional begins the ceremonies on Saturday:

The next ceremonies are: Karsok (Cutting of the Hair) and Syne (Feast of Ancestors)

Bongvil: (Circle of Light)

PTM Chong Dai: (Binding of Hands)

Any culture that ends the celebrations with a feast, alcohol and dancing until 1am is called a “RECEPTION” :)

There was such a comfort and ease between these two and their entire wedding party. Kyle and I walked away not only feeling confident in some of the great shots we got but a feeling of just balance. When you go to roughly 30 weddings or more a year it’s rare to have that feeling of having a perfect dash of beauty and elegance, a healthy portion of fun along with thoughtful detail planning and execution!

Last shot of the night ended with splits, that’s awesome!!

Tamara and Dallas were married at Rock Springs Guest Ranch in Bend, they were such a fun loving, easy going couple, they made our job easy. It was clear that everyone around loved them so much and couldn’t be happier to be a part of their day. Check out some of our favorites below!
