Well, Several weeks ago, before we got super busy we decided to go on a camping trip. Our family has a cabin and cattle ranch over in the Steens Mountain, so that is were we headed. We went for walks, fishing, and ate and drank real well. No canned food in this camp, as you will see. We are going to make this a yearly thing. Family is so important, and what better way to spend some time together. Enjoy the pictures.

Kyle and I had the difficult task of putting down our 2 year old pup yesterday. As some may remember from earlier posts that she was born with a liver disorder that preventing her body from ridding toxins. The past few months she her health had been really deteriorating even though her sweet spirit would show us happiness from time to time.
We decided to lay her down to rest under an old juniper out by where we walk our dogs, after all they are happiest running through the sage brush chasing scent. Her final resting place has a great view of the mountains at both sunrise and sunset. Both Kyle and I felt at odds about it all… we knew it was for the best, she would no longer suffer, on the other hand she was only two.
In the end I felt grateful that we chose her. She wouldn’t have even been given a chance with anyone else. She was diagnosed at 6 months, most encouraged us to put her down then. We spent a year and half preparing special meals and having Luke and Jody (firefighter/ paramedic and nurse) give her IVs to flush her system. Eventually none of that was helping anymore.

I just thought I should write something about Grace. She is getting ready to turn 4 years old real soon. So I was taking some pictures for her birthday and I thought I would share one.
I just love her so much, I love everything she gives me, and the joy she brings in my life. I can’t believe she’s almost a third of the way to a TEENAGER!!!! Wow, how things fly, though I enjoy each changing day, well sometimes I enjoy it. Anyway, have a wonderful spring break and remember to slow down and enjoy life a little, as time tends to fly away so quickly.
