Kacie and I shot a past wedding client’s Kid’s. We all went out to the pumkin patch to get some shots! It always works better when you are dealing with kids, to keep them doing something, and the pumpkins worked great! We think they turned out really good, they are great kids, and it was a real pleasure captureing their beautiful smiles. We even did the poser shot with Colby. So much fun, Thanks guys for a wonderful time, enjoy your pictures!

After spending 4 days talking shop with one of the greats and shooting some models with fellow photographers in the rainy, wet conditions of the willamette valley this is what I thought were some of my best. There are still about 20 or so more that I want to work on but as we are still fairly busy with client jobs it will have to wait! Kyle sent me to this workshop as a suprise, I was so delighted although nervous of leaving Grace and Kyle for that long all by lonesome. Turns out everything was fine on the home front and I made some great new friends.
I went thinking that I would learn so much technical know how and come out with a great new business plan etc.. What I didn’t expect was that I would come out learning more about myself as a photographer and how I shoot and prefer to shoot. Kyle and I met in photography and have been sharing this passion together since our relationship began, so naturally, with out him shooting beside me it felt strange. I felt a part of myself was missing. I realized that Kyle and I since our first attraction and interaction behind the camera and developing, we share something spiritual, something I can’t explain. Only that as an artist with out him I am good and can manage, but as an artist beside him we are outstanding and it’s that spiritual connection that helps drive us and inspire us. So, I guess it was a very valuable workshop in the sense that I now know how much Kyle means to me not only as my husband and father of our family but as a partner in art and spirit. Thanks babe! Love, Love…..

Well, you might not know that October was Breast Cancer awareness month! The Sarah Fisher project is a local organization to help support the fight against breast cancer in Central Oregon. We got the opportunity to shoot their fund raiser this year. It was a lot of fun shooting, especially the fashion show. Most of the models are breast cancer survivors! It was very cool, then at the end they had a walk of hope, that had everyone in tears.
It was a big mix of emotions, on one end you have joy, for all the one who fought the battle and won, then on the other end you have people who lost the battle. Very emotional, the last picture makes me tear up every time. I can’t even look at it for very long. Death is such a painful thing, and it hurts! I hope we can all be more aware of this, and further support the familys that are affected! Enjoy and be thankful every day for what you have!
